Star Trek Forgotten-Frontiers Wiki

Age/Game Rating[]

The rating for Forgotten Frontiers is 18+. However, this is not a free pass to write a continuous stream of sex, murder and violence. If you want to write Trek smut, go somewhere else. Break this rule and you WILL be tossed out.

Joining[]

With that warning out of the way, what if you want join ? Well, send a mail to p44728@yahoo.com. What should be in it ?

  1. Your name, age and the e-mail address you want to use for the game.
  2. Your previous RPG experience. If you don't have any, just write 'None'.
  3. The basics of your Player Character. (Name, gender, species, age.)
  4. Optional: The basics of your Special Player Character. (Name, gender, species, age.)

Once this has been rubber stamped, write a biography (or biographies) for your PC (and SPC). For rules about PCs/SPCs, see the page Character Rules. To see what should be in a character biography, read the page Everything Else.

Format[]

This game uses the standard PbEM format perfected by other games. Since they have well documented this format in all it's glory, I will not recap it here. I will, however, include a list of the special text indicators. This is because our list includes several options not commonly found in game manuals

  • =/\=Communications=/\= (Hailing frequencies, intercom, sound-powered phones. Only applies to what is incoming to your character.)
  • "Communications." (Talking)
  • //Communications\\ (Sign language)
  • <>Communications<> (Computers talking)
  • ~Thoughts~ (Internal)
  • #Thoughts# (Telepathic Communications, both incoming and outgoing)

For the dates, Forgotten Frontiers uses the United States format of Year/Day/Month. So 1 January 2376, becomes 2376.01.01. 2 January 2376 is 2376.02.01. And so on.

Tense and Person[]

Posts should be written in the past tense and in the third person.

  • Not: I walk into the bar and order a drink.
  • But: Yenna walked into the bar and ordered a drink.
